Believed to be John Willis; born around 1899 in Islington, London, the son of John and Charlotte Willis. At the age of 12 he was living with his younger brother Stanley with Samuel and Alice Hills (née Hartley) at 1 Oxford Terrace, Queens Road in Sudbury (possibly foster parents or relatives).
At the present time I am unable to trace any further details.
John Willis is remembered on the Sudbury War Memorial and on the memorial in St. John’s Methodist Church, York Road.
